Aarcide 40 is a new generation biocide.DESCRIPTION : It is available as a characteristic amber coloured solution with a slightly phenolic odour and taste.
SOLUBILITY : Freely soluble in water, alcohol and methanol.
pH : 10.5 - 12.5
Weight/ml : 1.15 to 1.25
Assay : 38.0 - 42.0%
APPLICATION OF AACIDE 40 :
Aarcide 40 is an effective microcide with low mammalian toxicity and non-irritant to skin.
Aarcide 40 is free from mercury and copper and has good solubility in water and solvents depending upon the mode of use.
INDUSTRIAL USE :
1. TEXTILE INDUSTRY : Aarcide 40 has better antifungal activity and is used as a fungicide for the preservation of fabrics.
2. COOLING WATER SYSTEM : Aarcide 40 is the right chemical agent in cooling water system, where it kills algae and prevent the growth of algae.
3. HEAT EXCHANGERS: Aarcide 40 prevents the bacterial growth in the inner surface of the heat exchangers and inner wall of the exchanger tubes.
4. LARGE THERMAL PLANTS : Aarcide 40 is the choice of agent to prevent the growth of slime and algae in thermal plants, where large volumes of water is used.
5. COOLING SYSTEM IN MACHINES : Generally, a soluble cutting oils used under continuous circulation in machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drills, milling machines etc. contain emulsifying and anticorrosive agents. However, if the anticorrosive agent contains phosphates or nitrates, it is unlikely to be degraded by bacteria and emulsifying agent is also consumed by bacteria resulting in oil * leads to complete breakdown of the emulsion. One of the detrimental side effects of bacteria is the slimy gelation that gets embedded in the voids of grinding wheels. This leads to slipping between the grinding surface and metal surface being worked over. Redressing of the grinding wheel is only a temporary solution.

Aarcide 40 is being increasingly used for the preservation of many starch *facturers of adhesives and other starch-based products can ensure that their goods do not suffer from the all-too-familiar odour of microbial attack or the distressing results of yeast *e starch mixtures are prepared for used in an industrial process it is often found that batches cannot be kept over a week-end period without 'going-off'.
